United Muslim Ummah

…Holding Steadfast In The Rope Of Tawheed

UMU Da’wah/Islaah

Da’wah/Islaah is very important and it is an obligation upon us, and it is an act of Ibaadah. Our Da’wah/Islaah is in reference to the hadeeth, “The best Jihaad is to speak a word of truth in front of a tyrant.” In other words, it is to call you to the Truth by removing the misconceptions, misrepresentations and mislabeling of Islaam and Muslims and willing to face the harsh consequences such as imprisonment, injustice, torture, expulsion, and even death. Please put aside your fear and ponder upon the tortures of the genuine warriors in Islaam i.e Sahaabah, Tabi’een, and Taba’ Tabi’een and learn to acknowledge the words of Ibn Taymiyaah, rahimullah, who feared not the blame of any blamer! Ibn Taymiyaah, rahimullah, once said:

“What can my enemies possibly do to me? My paradise is in my heart; wherever I go it goes with me, insepa rable from me. For me, prison is a place of (religious) retreat; execution is my opportunity for martyrdom; and exile from my town is but a chance to travel.”

If you claim to be a Da’ee and if you are not ready for this, then you are not worthy of such a position since it would mean that your Da’wah/Islaah is mixed with lies and/or deception about the Deen. On the contrary, UMU are not half-hearted Da’ee’s and never would we find any of the Prophets, Sahaabah, Tabi’een, and Taba’ Tabi’een acting as a half-hearted Da’ee where they are not ready for the harsh consequences yet they make Da’wah for the “benefit” (Maslahah). This half-hearted Da’wah/Islaah is the result of what we see today: Islaam is the Deen which people are leaving the fastest out of all Religions and Ideology. To Allāāh is the reckoning for each of these people; however a great blame goes upon the Da’ee’s who preach with weakness. If a Da’ee is not ready to say as Yusuf (’alayhis salaam) said, “O my Lord! The prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me” (12:33), then he should either prepare himself or leave the Da’wah/Islaah for someone else.

And this weakness in the Da’wah/Islaah is one of the reasons for the slow results of the re-establishment of Khilafaah and for the genuine Muslims in the earth. It is not that the Muslims left Da’wah/Islaah; nay, they were upon it, but it was a Da’wah/Islaah absent of dignity and steadfastness. When Da’wah/Islaah is absent of these great qualities, including exposing the enemies and their Shirk (ascribing partners to Allaah), then it almost has nothing to do with Da’wah/Islaah.
